Diplomatic Innovation Project (DIP) Fellowship

The Diplomatic Innovation Project is dedicated to educating future leaders in diplomacy and public service. Through this fellowship, you’ll be able to grow as a leader and demonstrate your preparedness to navigate the international system.
 

The DIP Fellowship provides students and young professionals with an opportunity to meaningfully contribute to diplomacy through public service in a virtual format. Over the course of the spring 2026 cohort, fellows will expand their expertise, skills, and network. This spring, the cohort will have the opportunity to explore how AI can be used to improve the practice of diplomacy.

Fellowship Requirements

  • The DIP Fellowship runs from January - May 2026

  • Fellows must commit to approximately 10 hours of work per week, including regular attendance at weekly virtual meetings and individual/team work outside of meetings

  • Fellows will attend monthly virtual meetings on skill-building, networking, and professional panels

  • Only current students are eligible to apply

Apply

Interested applicants may apply between October 27-November 14 at 11:59pm ET. Please note a completed cover letter and resume are required to apply. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Interview

Top candidates will be selected for interviews, which will be held between November 17-21. Applicants will be notified if they were not selected for an interview.

Final Selection

Final selections will be made in early December and applicants will be notified of their status. The fellowship officially begins in January.
